The Rotary Club of Newport, Oregon September Students of the Month are siblings Anne and James Lackey.  Their parents are Jeff & Lisa Lackey of Newport.  Anne has earned a 4.0 GPA and is a member of National Honor Society.  She was part of the cheer team that took 2nd in state and is involved in pep, symphonic and marching band where she played in the Starlight Parade and the Rose Parade.  Anne plans to attend a four-year university to complete a MD/PhD program to become a physician researcher.  James has also earned a 4.0 GPA and is a member of National Honor Society.  James has earned All League in cross country and was part of the team that took 2nd at state.  He also has participated in pep band, swimming and track & field.  James plans to attend a four-year university and study medicine.
