July 16, 2020- Club Welcomes New Member Jeff Lichtman
The Rotary Club of Newport welcomed new member Jeff Lichtman at the July 16th regular meeting. Jeff currently works part-time at La Maison French Bakery (pre-COVID) in Newport. His work career spans 19 years mostly in food sales. Jeff served 21 years in the United States Navy as a hospital corpsman/physical therapy technician. He also spent five years teaching elementary school. Jeff has participated in live theater and volunteers with CERT (Certified Emergency Response Team). All of his career, Jeff has been involved in some form of service to his community. The Rotary Club of Newport welcomes Jeff to our club.

Rotary Club of Newport, Oregon Board Meeting- July 7, 2020.
On July 7th, the Rotary Club of Newport Board of Directors met via Zoom. President Saxton presided over his first board meeting. President Saxton described his goals for the year and the board discussed again how to continue to support our local community during the COVID-19 crisis.
