May 18, 2020- Rotary Club of Newport Donates $1000 to The Olalla Center for Children & Families

May 11, 2020- Rotary Club of Newport Donates $1000 to The Salvation        Army of Lincoln County

     This week, the Rotary Club of Newport donated $1,000 to the Salvation Army Newport Corps. Below is Rotary President Julie Hanrahan handing the check to Lieutenant Nathan Perry. The entire amount of the donation will be used to provide utility assistance to those who are currently displaced due to the COVID-19 outbreak in our community. A big thanks to all the people that are making a difference in our world!!

January 17, 2020  Rotary Club of Newport and Cohen & Park Donate            to Grace Wins Haven Shelter

     Today, Cohen & Park and the Rotary Club of Newport joined forces and donated much needed food bins to store food donated by the cafeterias of Sam Case, Yaquina View, Newport Middle School and Newport High School.  This food will be donated to Grace Wins Haven Shelter for people facing food insecurity in our community.  A big thanks to Newport Rotary club member Megan Schain for making this partnership happen.  Another example of "Service above Self."

December 6, 2019- Newport Rotarians Donate Clothes to HELP Program

Newport Roatarians donate clothes to the HELP program.

     Newport Rotarians donate much needed clothing to the Lincoln County School District homeless student program HELP.  Thanks to all Rotarians who gave to this important cause.

     Today, Newport Rotarians teamed with Olalla staff members to paint the interior of the Olalla Center for Children & Families in Toledo. A big thanks to Sylvia Pauly and Dee Teem for organizing the event. Another example of "Service Above Self."

September 6, 2019-  "Seas the Day" Work Party

     Today, several Rotarians spent three hours organizing close to 5,000 dolphins to get ready for "Seas the Day 2020" set for next July.

   Today, the Rotary Club of Newport helped Luckini Construction paint the new Habitat for Humanity duplex in Newport. Two fortunate families will be able to move in soon and enjoy their new homes. What a great community we live in. A good example of "Service above Self".

July 18, 2019- Newport Rotarians Purchase and Assemble Launch Boxes

    Today, the Rotary Club of Newport purchased and assembled ten "Launch Boxes" for foster child 18-21 years of age, that have exited the program and are moving to be on their own. The boxes contain household items to help them with their new journey. Accepting the boxes are Angela Cazares, Permanency Supervisor and Julie Davis, Program Manager for the Department of Human Services. Newport Rotary thanks these hard working people of the Department of Human Services for all the work they do for our children.

July 4, 2019- "Seas the Day" Fundraiser

     Today, over 2,200 rubber dolphins were dropped by the Newport Fire Department in the 1st annual "Seas the Day" fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Newport. Originally, a LifeFlight helicopter was to drop the dolphins but LifeFlight was called to two emergencies this afternoon. A big thank you to the Newport Fire Department for stepping up and helping out!! Thanks to all the people that donated to purchase the animals and all the Rotarians and community members that donated their time, money and donations to make this event possible.
